Simone Biles Wins 2023 US Classic

24 months following their withdrawal from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics citing mental health concerns

Biles was born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio

Biles first tried gymnastics at age 6 during a day-care field trip. The instructors suggested she continue with gymnastics.

Biles made her senior international debut in March at the 2013 American Cup.

Biles was named Team USA Female Olympic Athlete of the Year in December 2015

During the 2020 Olympic Games, Biles participated in the all-around event during the qualifications. Her performance contributed to the United States securing a spot in the team final, securing the second position just behind the Russian team.

With a collection of 25 World Championship medals to her name, she holds the record for being the most adorned gymnast in history.

Set to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles remarked that things are progressing in a positive direction.
